“The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Hosted in the beautiful Slieve Aughty Centre and with a programme each day in the Happy Pig, the retreat is designed to encourage reflection, conversation and inspiration.
Together with guest speaker, Belinda Vigors (author and cultural theorist), we will examine the beliefs that shape us and the stories that we choose to live by.
Over the course of the weekend, participants will be supported to ask meaningful questions about how they live and more importantly, how they want to live in the world.
Guided meditations and a tailored yoga programme will help participants in slowing down and allow us to explore topics in a grounded and relaxed way.
Participants will be invited to undertake a digital detox for the duration of the retreat, to aid both rest and reflection.
Group meals over delicious organic food will be provided throughout the course. Participants will also have plenty of free time, with the option of renting a sauna, taking an evening horse riding trek or simply exploring the local area.
What people have said about previous Ánradh retreats
“(The retreat content was) excellent! There was a perfect balance of inspiration, reflection and well-being time in the special environment of the Happy Pig. I went in to the retreat hoping for space to reflect, and found the structure of the three days helped me move gently from reflection towards decision-making. This meant I left with a sense of empowerment and with concrete steps towards changes that I had decided to move towards.”
“I would have said I wasn’t a big yoga fan before this retreat but I actually looked forward to the yoga by the end of the weekend. Olwyn had a very special way about her and was very gentle and attentive to all of the different needs in the group.”
“Great location, marvellous people, fantastic hosts, guides and facilitators.”
Principles
Ánradh retreats aim to act as an antidote to the demands of everyday life, providing participants with an opportunity to pause and to reflect on how they wish to live in the world. The following principles guide the delivery of our retreats.
- Digital detox: Step back from the noise, demands and distractions of daily life
- Meditation, movement and silence: Turning the dial up on our inner wisdom
- Nourishing food, eco-accommodation: Experience the beauty and bounty in simplicity
- Non-judgemental conversation: Space to explore, to learn and to find support in community
- Inspiration and invitations for reflection: Support to explore ideas and concepts

Hi Lisa,
Thanks for your message.
Absolutely, we’re planning on hosting another retreat in May (dates tbc) and end of July/beginning of August (31/7 – 3/8).
If you’re happy for me to hold on to your email address I can contact you again once the May dates and details have been confirmed? Alternatively, if you want to sign up to our newsletter (https://anradh.ie/contact/), you can receive updates that way. We send limited numbers of emails so don’t worry, you won’t be inundated!
Let me know what you would prefer anyway and thanks again for your enquiry!

I would also be interested in the July retreat. Can you add my name to the mailing list and keep me informed?
Blessings Colette O’Neill.
Hi Colette,
Thanks so much for your message.
Very happy to add you to the mailing list. I’ll be in touch once details of the July retreat are confirmed.
